college life

Taylor’s University College had an orientation for March 2011 Intake for Students just a  weeks ago. It’s for everyone that’s planning to study Mass Communication in Lakeside Campus. The reason I pick this university is because it’s new, very well knowns, and I really like the atmosphere here. After all that we pay for our course, we should get good facilities that Taylors' offer. The lake, all the yummy restaurants they have here, a salon, stationary shops, and so on. Everything can be found here.

Basically, orientation is when they bring all the newbies around to have a look at the whole campus, play mini games, and get to know each other more. Also, its when they announce what classes you're in, give out timetables, and so on. I was picked to be in group 2. Well, i was pretty excited for it because got the chance to see many new faces and finally start classes after a very long 5 months break since i stopped Diploma in Business, in Taylors'. I finally got the chance to study Mass Communication, as my family forbid me to study this course before this. But now, i feel anxious knowing, i finally had the permission to study something i want to study

So, it’s a new semester, moved into new the course and everything is getting on track, assignment and homework will be getting heavier and harder and more sleepless night coming ahead. I think i'll reorganize and rethink my way of studying in this new course, I think study shouldn’t be hard and suffering, it should be fun. Study smart? Time management is really an important thing at this time, I am very poor in managing time and hopefully someone can guide me through it this semester.

Since its 'so called' the first day, i felt a little bit nervous, because I knew no one there. One good thing about coming over here to study is I met people from different places, both local and International. It’s quite a good experience knowing people from everywhere. Well, i like meeting new people, but I'm really bad at socialising. It took me some time to finally open up, to talk to me classmates. Also seeing new lecturers gave me goosebumps! It was really scary not knowing how they are like, where they are friendly, or fierce. I believe in college and university, there’s always a lecturer that’s very picky, troublesome and perfectionist, which makes work harder. Everyone hates, dislikes or better saying, uncomfortable with him, but I believe he is bringing something good to us. Well, i haven't got mine, YET. :D

There are also many clubs u can join! so, taylor's is indeed a good place. Dance, Leo, Entrepreneur Clubs and so, but i really didn't have the time to go check it out yet. One of my favourite hang out places in Taylors is definitely Starbucks Coffee, and also Student Life Central. Its really nice to hang out there, and just have a chit chat with friends.
